FAQs

Diifference between food grade and pharmacy grade hydrogen peroxide?

Pharmacy-grade hydrogen peroxide (the brown bottle found in mainstream and local pharmacies) contains chemical stabilisers like acetanilide, sodium stannate, and phosphates to extend its shelf life. Food grade hydrogen peroxide contains zero stabilisers and zero additives. Just pure H₂O₂ and purified water. This makes it the only grade safe to use on food-contact surfaces, in kitchens, and around produce.

How should I store hydrogen peroxide?

Keep it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Always store it in its original container with the lid tightly sealed. Hydrogen peroxide naturally breaks down into water and oxygen over time. Exposure to light and warmth speeds this up. Proper storage keeps the concentration stable and extends shelf life. Never transfer it to an unmarked or clear container.

Is hydrogen peroxide safe to use around food, children, and pets?

Yes, when using food grade hydrogen peroxide at the correct concentration. It decomposes into just water (H₂O) and oxygen (O₂), leaving absolutely no chemical residue behind. That’s why it’s trusted in commercial kitchens, food manufacturing, and households across Australia.

Where are your products manufactured?

Our products are manufactured both locally and globally. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.

What concentration of hydrogen peroxide do I need?

Hydrogen peroxide is one of the most versatile cleaning and sanitising agents available. Common uses include kitchen and bathroom surface disinfection, food-contact surface sanitisation, fruit and vegetable washing, mould and mildew removal, hydroponic root zone treatment, laundry whitening, and equipment sterilisation. It’s used daily across restaurants, mechanic workshops, hydroponic farms, and homes Australia-wide.

What can I use hydrogen peroxide for?

It depends on the job. 3% is ideal for everyday household cleaning, food-contact sanitisation, and personal care. 6% offers a stronger clean for bathrooms, mould treatment, and workshop degreasing. 12% and above is suited for heavy-duty industrial cleaning, high-concentration hydroponic dosing, and professional applications. If you’re unsure, start with 3%, it’s the safest and most versatile concentration.

Does hydrogen peroxide expire?

Hydrogen peroxide doesn’t expire in the traditional sense, but it does lose potency over time as it naturally decomposes into water and oxygen. An unopened bottle stored correctly will maintain its concentration for 12+ months. Once opened, use it within 6 months for best results.
